Director

Rudy P. Dutko My name is Rudy P. Dutko. I am the Director of the Fayette County Office of Human and Community Services, Fayette Area Coordinated Transportation (FACT). Our Mission here at FACT is to serve the residents of Fayette County by providing safe, reliable and quality public transportation services designed to meet your needs and to help improve your quality of life regardless of your age, income or mobility requirements. Our transportation services include daily fixed-route schedules (i.e. bus services on a repetitive and fixed schedule along a designated route with buses picking-up passengers at specific locations and delivering them to specific locations) and shared-ride schedules (i.e. curb to curb transportation services). FACT is going your way. So, come ride with us. We will get you there safe and on time.

Meet The Director

Rudy began his employment with FACT on July 25, 2022.

He was born and raised in Uniontown and currently resides in Hopwood, South Union Township with his wife, Michelle and their many beloved pets. His daughter Elizabeth (w/husband Tyler), step-daughter Chelsea (w/husband Jon), step-daughter Chloe (w/fiancé Adam) and step-son Corey (w/girlfriend Ashton) all reside within Fayette County and the surrounding area.

He is a graduate of Uniontown High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Saint Vincent College. He continued his education and earned a Paralegal Certificate with highest distinction from Penn State University, Fayette Campus.

His extensive Public Administration/public service background spans nearly 30 years. His experience includes working for the Fayette County Court of Common Pleas, Domestic Relations Section, the City of Connellsville, the Fayette County Housing Authority and the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services. He has been a guest speaker at multiple Fayette County Bar Association’s Continuing Education Seminars, for Penn State’s Paralegal Program on multiple occasions, for the Private Industry Council’s Dads Matter Program and for a local church group. He has dedicated his professional life to serving the needs of others and believes that one of the ways in which we may improve our community is through helping our neighbors.

He is a member of the St. Therese Roman Catholic Church and an Officer with the Uniontown Sons of Italy.

He served a 3 yr term on the Saint Vincent College Alumni Council and a 1 yr term on the Board of Directors with the Uniontown East End United Community Center.

Rudy believes that working in public service is a calling or passion that comes from within and is by no means a glamorous job geared towards financial reward. However, he has seen that even with the smallest task, the quality of someone’s life may be improved and that he knows to be priceless.
